Today marks the Opening Ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, and here at StumbleUpon, we couldn’t be more excited. 1. Every Olympics has an official mascot, and they’re not your typical eagles, tigers or bulldogs. In fact, most of them are rather odd. This year’s mascots, Wenlock and Mandeville, meant to represent the last drops of steel used to build the Olympic Stadium, are no exception.

2. Usain Bolt is a proud papa…to a cheetah! Bolt adopted an abandoned baby cheetah(fittingly named “Lightning Bolt”) in 2009, and continues to sponsor its care in an orphanage in Nairobi. Hmm…wonder who’s faster?

3. What do Giorgio Armani, Adidas and Stella McCartney have in common? They’ve all designed national team uniforms for the Opening Ceremony. Sporting everything from berets to fedoras, this year’s athletes will certainly be dressed to impress.

4. History will be made this year when double-amputee Oscar Pistorius runs for South Africa in the individual 400 meters and the 4×400 meter relay. Pistorius will be the first amputee ever to compete in track and field at the Olympics.

5. Hopefully he’ll fare better than Charles Hefferon, a fellow South African runner who competed in the Marathon in the 1908 Summer Olympics. Hefferon was in the lead until, with just a few miles to go, he drank a glass of champagne offered to him by a well-meaning fan. He promptly slowed down and was overtaken by other runners. Lesson learned: don’t drink and run!

6. The official song of London 2012 is “Survival,” by popular British band Muse. Check it out here (along with a cool montage video of Olympic athletes).

7. Are moustaches lucky? The night before his first race at the 1972 Olympic Games, legendary swimming champ Mark Spitz almost decided to shave off his famous moustache. However, a Russian coach started giving him a hard time about sporting facial hair, so Spitz joked that the moustache made him swim faster by keeping water away from his mouth. Spitz kept the ‘stache, went on to win 7 gold medals at the Games, and at the next Olympics, all the Russian swimmers were sporting moustaches.

8. The iconic Olympic rings were designed to symbolize the five inhabited continents of the world (Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and the Americas), linked together by the Olympic spirit. At least one of the rings’ colors (blue, yellow, black, green and red, with a white background) are present in every participating country’s national flag.

9. The longest wrestling match of all time took place at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics, between Russia’s Martin Klein and Finland’s Alfred Asikainen. The match lasted a grueling11 hours and 40 minutes! Klein eventually emerged the victor, but he was so drained from the fight that he was unable to compete for the gold medal the next day, and walked away with the silver.

10. You may still not know what the heck curling is, but that’s nothing compared to some of the very strange sports that have made it into the Olympics in the past. Our personal favorites? Definitely poodle clipping and delivery van driving.

But there's a way to break free from anger's grasp and learn how to handle the daily situations that can lead to anger.
Getting To The Source
There are as many causes and expressions of anger as there are people. But a common element is usually lurking beneath anger: things are not turning out the way we would like. Perhaps your boss did not deliver on a promised raise ... or your child refused to listen to your repeated instructions ... or your spouse just did not take the time to listen.
At first, this anger is usually directed toward others. But eventually, we begin to point a finger at God. Like Job's wife, when facing overwhelming anger, we want to "curse God land die!" (Job 2:9).
Unfortunately, despite all the energy we invest in anger, it cannot get us a raise, or make our children obey, or restore a broken marriage. Most importantly, the Bible says, "the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God" (James 1:20).
Even worse, anger eventually seeks an outlet in hurtful actions, breeding more anger and creating a destructive cycle for our lives. We are wise not to under estimate the power of anger.
Finding Freedom
If anger is controlling you, there is only one way to find lasting freedom - by yielding control of your life to Jesus Christ.
Anger is ultimately a matter of control, we get angry, and our anger drives a wedge between us and God - keeping us from drawing closer to His love. In our anger we are rejecting God's love - accusing God of not caring. But God is love (1 John 4:8), and the Bible says His plans for us are always good (Jer. 29:11)
This plan begins with a personal relationship with Jesus. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life." God desires that you will live with him forever!
When you come to God, repenting of your sin, God miraculously gives you new birth that will enable you to walk in His love.
Overcoming Anger Day by Day
Your new life in Christ will not immediately bring an end to your anger. Each day will bring situations tempting you to anger. Here are a few steps you can take to keep your anger under God's control.
Recognize the source of your anger. Is it a person? Or a situation? Or perhaps you're angry at God. Be honest with yourself and the Lord about what is making you angry.
Repent and ask God to cleanse you. Anger that is based in selfishness and control is sin, and the cure for sin is repentance. Ask God to forgive you for your anger and give you peace. "If we confess our sins," the Bible says, "God is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9)
Forgive, forgive, forgive. Forgiveness is perhaps the greatest remedy for anger. As He hung dying on the cross at Calvary, Jesus had every right to be angry toward those who placed Him there. Yet He asked His Father to forgive them. We are called to do the same.
Daily, give God control of your life. Job had every reason to be angry. But despite his circumstances, he refused to shake his fist at God. When his wife told him to curse God, he responded "Shall we indeed accept good from God and not accept adversity?" (Job 2:10). The call of discipleship requires us to surrender control of our lives to God. He is faithful. You can trust that He will work out all things for good (Romans 8:28).
Don't let anger fester. You may think that by suppressing your anger, it will simply go away. But anger must be dealt with or it will grow like a cancer. Especially in the relationships that are most precious to you, follow this simple advice from Apostle Paul: "do not let the sun go down on your anger" (Eph. 4:26)

Has anger taken hold of your life? There's a simple solution: hand over the reins of your heart to the Lord and walk every day in God's love and forgiveness.
Take a few moments right now to let go of your anger: "Father, forgive me for my anger against You and others. Please cleanse me as Your Word promises. I give You total control of my life- both the good and the bad. I also give You the hurts from the past. Thank You for forgiving me and for teaching me how to walk in love each and every day. In Jesus' name. Amen."

"Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil an opportunity. ... And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. now I found a way what to sell sports apparel I got a problem before in shipping cost of pottery and vases but another big problem arise when I found out that shipping companies do not accept breakable product. But I do have a better plan open another store. Thursday... now pottery exportation explode, but I set up another e-crater store my bar I wish to sell cigarettes and hard drinks but I know there will be another shipping problem will occur and the excise tax will surely hit me.. so I am thinking of sports apparel or food long perishable goods like kopek peanuts or any food I can sell gosh I’m so desperate... Friday I hate rc if only he plans our budget for the month but instead paying that lv bag worth two months’ salary now were starving...but what can I do...it’s not my money how can I convince him to spend for desktop...he surely need it but I need to bargain but what if I pursue him to lend ah credit card. I need to save one hundred thousand by the end of the year to start my business...and I think that not impossible. Another day doing my money making schemes but it’s hard for me to move right now I don't have a pc I only rent in a public café. And what are worst I don't have a single peso what I have now are determination and a dream I need to have one hundred thousand by January next year. It’s not impossible if I had consistency right resources and perseverance. The kendi, a spouted jar design of Indian origin that is difficult to make, was produced by this century. All this time, slip (a mixture of clay and water) rather than glazes was still used by the Filipino potters to seal the pottery and the pottery was open-fired (fired in a bonfire rather than in a kiln or oven).
